Two Tank Boat Dive, Night Dive

Trip Description

This is a two-tank boat dive open to all ADVANCED Open Water Diver club members ONLY! The first dive will be a dusk dive during sunset and the second dive will be a full night dive. There will be an appropriate surface interval between the two dives depending on our profile.

We will be diving with Sea Experience. The boat departs at 6:00 p.m. You must arrive NO LATER THAN 5:30 p.m. Sea Experience is approximately a 30 minute drive from Main Campus.

Itinerary

  • 4:15 p.m. Gear check out at NSU Dive Locker
  • 4:45 p.m. Depart campus
  • 5:15-30 p.m. Arrive at Sea Experience
  • 6:00 p.m. Boat departs
  • 10:00 p.m. Estimated boat return
    Equipment check-in will be after the dives at a time to be determined by your Dive Supervisors.

Reservation/Payment

This boat trip is half price for NSU Scuba Club members. The cost is $47.50 and it is also recommended that you bring about $10 to $20 for a tip. The crew works very hard to ensure the divers enjoy the dive trip as much as possible while also mitigating any safety hazards that may present themselves. You may register for the trip up until 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Since this charter is one we will be sharing with another class of ours … only 5 spots for Advanced divers are available, sign up ASAP!

  • Dive light (if you do not have a dive light, one will be provided for you)
  • C-card
  • DAN Dive Accident Insurance Card
  • Log book
  • Cash to tip the boat crew. Between $10-$20 is customary.

Location and Parking

Sea Experience’s boat is parked at 2150 SE 17th Street Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Please CARPOOL and arrive early!

Equipment

The NSUADP Dive Supervisors will bring tanks. Any other equipment you need will be issued from the NSUADP Dive Locker. That is the only time to get your gear for the trip. Equipment check-in will be after the dives at a time to be determined by your Dive Supervisors. You can have other dive members bring your gear as long as you are still responsible for coordinating who gets your gear and also who brings it back, if you are unable to.

REMINDER – if you bring your own BC, regulator and/or tank you must provide proof that the gear was either purchased or inspected by an authorized dive center within one year.

Cancellation Policy

You may only cancel and get refunded for this trip PRIOR TO 5:00 pm on FRIDAY. Please contact the Dive Supervisor to let us know if you have to cancel the morning of the trip. Otherwise, contact Kate at kh1857@nova.edu to cancel.

Waitlist

If the signup is full, you may contact Kate at kh1857@nova.edu to get on the waitlist. In the event a club member cannot make the dive and notifies one of us 24 hours before the dive, the waitlist will be consulted, and you will be notified by Kate. When emailing Kate, please include "Waitlist" in the subject line.

NOTE: If you are on the waitlist and have not been reached out to 24 hours before the dive, you will not be contacted if a club member cancels.
