COURSE DESCRIPTION

The PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver Course provides recreational divers with the knowledge to safely plan and conduct EANx (nitrox) dives up to 40%. Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives divers more no decompression dive time. This allows for more bottom time, especially on repetitive scuba dives. NOTE: This course is a classroom only course, however you can add-on an optional two tank dive boat trip using nitrox for an additional $150.

INCLUDED IN THE COURSE

  • 1 Classroom Session
  • PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Manual & Dive Computer Simulator
  • 2 Open Water Dives (optional ocean boat dives using nitrox)
  • Use of all scuba equipment throughout the course (wetsuit, tanks, regulator, buoyancy compensator, weights, dive bag, compass, and dive computer) *NOTE: it is recommended that students have their own equipment for this course, but not required.
  • Nitrox gas used throughout the course
  • PADI Enriched Air Diver certification card

STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE

  • Log Book (if diving)
  • Timing Device (submersible watch OR dive computer if you have your own equipment)(if diving)

PREREQUISITES

Students must know how to swim and have good overall health:

  • Certified as a PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent certification from another certification organization.
  • Have Dive Accident Insurance with Divers Alert Network (or equivalent) at the Master level or higher. Click here to get insurance DAN Diving Accident Insurance
  • Students must complete the PADI Medical History Questionnaire. Certain conditions may require a physician’s pre-approval to dive. If a student answers “Yes” to ANY question on the PADI Medical History Questionnaire, the student MUST have the form signed by a physician giving his or her approval for the student to participate in scuba diving.
  • Participants under age 18 must have signed, parental consent. Parents must be present for ALL portions of the course - classroom, pool and open water dives.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY

Due to the popularity of scuba courses, instructor schedules and issued materials the following policies are in place:

  • 1. No refund of the scuba course fee will be possible for any reason after the third session of the class.
  • 2. Scuba Fee refunds prior to the third session of the class will be based on the following refund schedule:
  • i. Prior to Class or Pool Session #1 = Full Scuba Fee minus $25
  • ii. Prior to Class or Pool Session #2 = Full Scuba Fee minus $50
  • iii. Prior to Class or Pool Session #3 = Full Scuba Fee minus $100
  • 3. Refunds must be cleared with your instructor and final approval will come from the Scuba Department.
