  • The Instructor Development Course (IDC) is made up of two parts – the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program.   • PADI Professionals have a long history of working with divers with disabilities. PADI's approach to diver education is inclusive: Everyone who meets a course's prerequisites is welcome to enroll. The PADI Adaptive Techniques Specialty course builds on that foundation by enhancing the training PADI Professionals receive, and preparing them for student-centered and prescriptive approaches when adapting techniques to meet diver needs.  $150 for NSU students. $900 for general public.

  • Advanced Open Water Diver is for certified scuba divers who wish to expand their knowledge and improve their diving skills and techniques through a variety of diving environments and activities. The six open water dives give the student experience in the specialty areas of Deep, Wreck, Underwater Naturalist, Search & Recovery, Navigation and Night. This course meets on Mondays and Wednesdays for three weeks. $350 for NSU students, faculty, staff & alumni. $495 for general public.

  • DAN's Diving First Aid for Professional Divers (DFA Pro) course is designed for commercial, professional, aquarium and scientific divers, providing first-aid knowledge and skills specific to these work environments. It also provides rescue management skills for dive masters and dive instructor. $125 for NSU students, faculty, staff & alumni. $175 for general public.

  • Divemaster candidates will learn the knowledge and skills necessary to transition from a recreational diver to a dive professional. Instructor-level academic knowledge will be developed in diving physics, physiology, decompression, equipment, and environment.   • The PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver Course provides recreational divers with the knowledge to safely plan and conduct EANx (nitrox) dives up to 40%. Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives divers more no decompression dive time. $120 for NSU students, faculty, staff & alumni. $150 for general public. NOTE: This course is a classroom only course, however you can add-on an optional two tank dive boat trip using nitrox for an additional $150.
