  • Advanced Open Water Diver is for certified scuba divers who wish to expand their knowledge and improve their diving skills and techniques through a variety of diving environments and activities. The six open water dives give the student experience in the specialty areas of Deep, Wreck, Underwater Naturalist, Search & Recovery, Navigation and Night. This course meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays for three weeks. $325 for NSU students, faculty, staff & alumni. $375 for general public.

  • DAN's Diving First Aid for Professional Divers (DFA Pro) course is designed for commercial, professional, aquarium and scientific divers, providing first-aid knowledge and skills specific to these work environments. It also provides rescue management skills for dive masters and dive instructor. $125 for NSU students, faculty, staff & alumni. $175 for general public.

    The PADI Discover Scuba experience is a fun and exciting way to try scuba diving and to see what it is like to breathe underwater. No prior scuba diving experience is necessary, but you do need to be in good physical health. This is not a certification course. This class is $15 for NSU students, faculty, staff, alumni. And it is $50 for the general public.

  • Divemaster candidates will learn the knowledge and skills necessary to transition from a recreational diver to a dive professional. Instructor-level academic knowledge will be developed in diving physics, physiology, decompression, equipment, and environment. Pool training includes perfecting skills to a level of “demonstration quality” for open water skills, rescue, navigation, and problem solving. $625 for NSU students, faculty, staff & alumni. $775 for general public.

  • The Instructor Development Course (IDC) is made up of two parts – the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program. Most dive professionals complete the entire IDC and go on to attend an Instructor Examination (IE), which is the final step to earn a PADI Instructor certification. $1,375 for NSU students, faculty, staff & alumni.

  • The PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver Course provides recreational divers with the knowledge to safely plan and conduct EANx (nitrox) dives up to 40%. Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives divers more no decompression dive time. $120 for NSU students, faculty, staff & alumni. $150 for general public. NOTE: This course is a classroom only course, however you can add-on an optional two tank dive boat trip using nitrox for an additional $100.

  • This is payment for the referral dives of a scuba class that includes the payment for instruction, lake dives and a two tank charter boat trip.

  • This is the PADI Scuba Review (refresher). It is a classroom and pool session reviewing skills for already certified scuba divers. You may also add an instructor-led two-tank charter boat dive trip to this refresher for an additional $100. There will be two dates to choose from August 21 or August 27 from 5:30 pm-9:00 pm at the NSU Aquatics Center Competition Pool.

  • Rescue Diver is an important step in furthering your diving knowledge and experience. This course is tailored for those who are interested in becoming future dive professionals. The unique content includes in-depth academics on diving physiology, dive accident profiles and statistics, risk management and preventative techniques.
