The Department of Professional Counseling hosts presentations throughout the year on a variety of timely counseling topics. Presentations are facilitated by the Counseling Alumni Connection (CAC). Presenters featured are esteemed department alumni and professionals within the counseling field. Presentation fees include a CE hours certificate. Please review this page for all upcoming offerings. Professional Counseling Refund Policy All Professional Counseling presentations are non-refundable. Participants who cancel their registration at any point before the event is scheduled to run, or “no-show” the day of the event, will not receive a refund. No credit vouchers will be issued toward a future program. If the presentation is cancelled by Professional Counseling, no penalties apply and full refunds are issued. Attendees should note that online presentations are recorded and may be published in various media, including print, audio, social media, and video formats without further notice. By participating in the presentation, you consent to being filmed, taped, interviewed, photographed and recorded. You also agree that Monmouth University may use, reproduce, publish, edit, and broadcast any recordings as they deem fit to use them.
This program will introduce and educate individuals on the intervention of brainspotting and the neuroexperiential model created by Dr. David Grand. Participants will be taught what brainspotting is, how it differs from other somatic approaches as well as be shown a demo. Participants will also be introduced to the concept of the neuroexperiential model, which is a new perspective on how wellness and healing can be achieved.
