This course is designed to provide the Advanced Practice Nurse or Healthcare provider hands-on instruction in wound closure skills. The instructor will focus on factors affecting wound healing, selection of wound closure devices, wound aftercare, CDC tetanus guidelines, suture removal guidelines and pitfalls, and special considerations in wound closure.

Learning Outcome: Upon conclusion of this program participants will apply the knowledge gained in the assessment and management of wounds.

Successful Completion: Participants will attend at least 95% of the program, and complete an online evaluation to receive contact hours.
