This activity is designed to enhance the knowledge of Advanced Practice Nurses or Allied Health Professionals in radiology and imaging modalities. A focus will be on a systematic approach to reading chest x-rays. Areas of study will include extremity evaluation with a special emphasis on acute traumatic findings and orthopedic imaging, evaluation, and assessment. Program content will include:
Desired Learning Outcome: Healthcare providers will learn skills and techniques in radiographic interpretation and apply them to practice in the clinical setting. Presenter: James Fries, MS, PA-C – Specialist Professor, Graduate Faculty - Marjorie K. Unterberg School of Nursing and Health Studies. Specializing in Emergency Medicine. Successful Completion: Participants will attend 95% of the program, and complete an online evaluation to receive contact hours.
