Heartsaver for K-12 Schools uses the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course to teach K-12 students, faculty, and staff critical skills needed to respond to and manage a cardiac arrest, choking, or first aid emergency in the first few minutes until EMS arrives. This course teaches adult CPR and AED use. Child CPR AED, infant CPR, and first aid modules are optional. Students may also learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock, and other first aid emergencies. This course is presented in several modules, giving schools and AHA instructors the flexibility to teach the course over several class periods.
