FAQ

Q: What is the difference between Farmer's Market Style and Boxed?
A: There is no difference between varieties and quantity. However, there is a difference in method of pick up.

  • Farmer’s Market Style will have produce displayed like a Farmer’s Market booth, which allows you to choose the produce for yourself. Bins of produce will be available for you to self-select the same number and type of produce items as the boxed CSA. For instance: cucumbers, “pick two” will be on the tote loaded with cucumbers. You may pick any shape, size, or length. A volunteer will be on site to help with this new Market Style.
  • Boxed will be just like in years past. We will have pre-boxed CSA shares of that week’s vegetables for you to collect at your convenience. This is a self serve, convenient method for those who desire after hours pick up. There is an additional cost to this method to account for the extra time and labor that students put into boxing the shares each week.

Q: I need financial assistance. Are there any options for me?
A: Please contact UW Food Pantry for a more affordable option, or you may also pay in installments. See the UW Farm's web site for further information.

Q: What happens If I go on vacation or miss a pick-up?
A: No problem. If you're not able to pick up your box, have a friend or officemate pick it up. Please email the Farm beforehand at uwfarm@uw.edu and let us know whether you would like to reschedule or donate your box to the UW Food Pantry.
