REGISTRATION
Registration for all Public Programs is through the online registration system available on the SUNY Maritime College website. An electronic receipt via email will confirm your registration.

For all Public Programs, except Maritime Adventure Camp: Full payment for must be received at the time of registration.

For Maritime Adventure Camp: A deposit is required to register for each camp session; the balance is due by the posted due date or your registration is forfeit. Financial Assistance is available.

REGISTRATION CHANGES, REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
SUNY Maritime reserves the right to cancel a program at any time, for any reason. If a program must be cancelled, you will be notified via the email address you provided upon registration. Your registration fee will be transferred to another program or refunded.

A refund will not be issued once a program has begun. If the impact of COVID-19 affects our programs or participation, refunds will be provided.

For all Public Programs, except Maritime Adventure Camp: If you must change your registration to another session, please contact the Department directly.* If you must cancel your registration for any reason, please contact the Department at least seven days prior to the program for a refund.

For Maritime Adventure Camp: Should a camper suffer an illness or injury prior to camp start date which prevents them from participating in regular camp activities (a note from a doctor is required), balance paid will be refunded less $50 processing fee. Should a camper decide not to attend camp for other reasons, not related to illness or injury, the balance paid will be non-refundable or subject to a $50 processing fee on a case-by-case basis.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE & DISCOUNTS

Financial assistance and Scholarships may be available. Please inquire directly through the Department.*

SUNY Maritime alumni, active military, and veterans are entitled to a 10% discount on registration fees.

SUNY Maritime faculty, staff, and students are entitled to a 33% discount on registration fees.

CONDUCT & BEHAVIOR
SUNY Maritime College staff reserves the right to dismiss, without refund, any participant whose behavior, including but not limited to bullying, foul language and reckless and irresponsible actions, affects the well-being, enjoyment and/or safety of others.

WEATHER
Public Programs occur rain or shine.

For Waterfront Programs: Plan to be on the water in a variety of weather conditions. Staff will take into consideration any weather threats and determine if it is safe to be on the water. Keep in mind that the weather on the water is changeable; as such, please dress and be prepared for a variety of weather conditions.

LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS
SUNY Maritime College is not liable for any lost or stolen items.

SAFETY
Our programs are built on safety, fun and learning. Participants shall follow instructions given by staff and use their own best judgment to maintain their personal safety. Participants shall not engage in any behavior that puts themselves or others at a safety risk. In keeping with the most current COVID-related protocols, we encourage, but do not require face mask or proof of vaccination.

For Waterfront Programs, all participants must wear:

USCG approved lifejackets at all times while on the dock, in boats, and on or in the water. Lifejackets are provided by the Waterfront, or you may bring your own USCG approved lifejacket.
Closed-toe shoes, preferably with non-marking soles, in Waterfront facilities, on docks an boats at all times.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY & STATEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING

By participating in SUNY Maritime College Public Programs, activities or events, you agree to the following:
I understand and acknowledge that:

programs and activities, by their very nature, pose the potential risk of serious injury/illness to individuals who participate,
in order to participate in these activities, I agree to assume liability and responsibility for any and all potential risks which may be associated with participation by me or my dependents in such activities,
the college, its employees, officers, agents, or volunteers shall not be liable for any injury/illness suffered by me which is incident to and/or associated with preparing for and/or participating in the activity(ies),
photos and/or videos of me and/or my child/ren participating in these activities may be taken for the purpose of assisting in the instruction and/or promotion of future programs
I or my dependent/s have no known medical condition which may pose a risk to the health and safety of me, my dependent/s or others by participating in the registered activity(ies)

AGENCY
SUNY Maritime College reserves the right to amend these policies at any time.
