SUNY Maritime College has partnered with American Red Cross to offer swim classes that are available for infants, children, teens, and adults. At SUNY Maritime College, you can expect caring, patient, and safe instruction from training professional instructors who help the most timid of swimmers learn to enjoy the water. Every beginner class starts with the basics, like becoming comfortable in the water and learning safety and basic strokes, then moves on to stroke development, refinement, and improvement, then developing ease and efficiency in the water.

Swim laps at your own pace. For age 16 or up. Tuesdays; 5:00pm-7:00pm May 26-June 23, 2026 AND/OR Thursdays: 5:00pm-7:00pm May 28-June 25, 2026 AND/OR Fridays : 5:00pm-7:00pm May 29-June 26, 2026 AND/OR Saturdays: 11:30am-1;30pm May 30-June 27, 2026 (may co-exist with other pool activity and may share a lane)

Private swimming lessons for all ages and abilities! 28 class offerings avaiable this session (Minimum age is 4 years old) There is an option to make your lessons a semi-private, please leave it BLANK if you do not want a semi-private.

6 months- 3 years old Join us for fun activities that teach infants to feel comfortable in the water. Parents will learn to hold and support infants properly as their child explores breath control, floating, and changing body positions while "moving" through the water. Parent/guardian are required to be in the water with child. A great way to build a stronger connection while learning lifesaving skills. Â
