This Mathematical Concept Progression Guide is your quick reference to see the across-grade and within-grade connections among the mathematics standards for kindergarten through Algebra I. This guide will be a useful tool when planning for on-grade-level instruction to better understand students’ prior learning expectations, as well as a tool to assist with supporting students who need to fill gaps in their mathematical understandings. Standards within each progression have not been altered and are listed in the order that they appear in the 2025 Mississippi College- and Career-Readiness Standards for Mathematics. Teachers should make informed decisions regarding the order and pacing of concepts throughout the school year.
