Testing

To study math or Spanish at UW Tacoma, you are often required to take a placement test. Placement tests are not "pass/fail" tests; they simply assess your skill level in order to ensure enrollment in the appropriate course. For more information about testing, contact ouetests@uw.edu.

Steps for taking a placement test:

1. Email ouetests@uw.edu (using your UW netid@uw.edu email account) with the following information:
   • Name
   • Student ID number
   • Telephone number
   • 3 different testing times and dates (group test dates listed tacoma.uw.edu/oue/testing)
2. Pay the testing fee below (this must be paid online prior to taking test)
3. Arrive at scheduled testing location with photo ID and take test
