Occasionally, the Federal Reserve will update routing number information. When this occurs, TouchNet uses the updated information to generate an updated routenum.sql script for each database type.
You run this script against your database to replace your outdated routing number table with the current, correct table. We recommend that you update this table once a week to keep your Federal Reserve routing number information up to date.
Many customers have asked how to automate the process of downloading the routing number script; therefore we have created an FTP site specifically for this purpose. This lets customers create a program to fetch and run the script against their database.
Downloading the routenum.sql file from TouchNet's SFTP site:
- SFTP to the following site:
ftp://sftp.touchnet.com - Enter the login information, which is case sensitive:
- User Name: WebCheckScripts
- Password: kE73Ju38

Once you are logged in, run the following commands:
cd \ cd dbscripts
- Under the \dbscripts folder, select the correct directory for your database type, then download the desired file format.
