Vision

To be recognized as a world leader in scientifically based elite sports training.


Mission

To produce world-class athletes, coaches, sport practitioners, and sport scientists using the most up-to-date scientifically based training methods to inspire positive change.

The Vision and Mission will be supported by the following goals:

1. To establish a holistic integrated approach towards the development of gifted and elite athletic talent across Barbados and the Caribbean region.

2. To institute accepted high-performance standards and benchmarks for elite performance, both nationally and regionally.

3. Partner with national and regional sport federations and associations to offer specific training, workshops and sporting certifications.

4. Assist in the formalization of the sporting industry in Barbados.

This fund provides athletes in the Long-Term Elite Athlete Development Programme (LEAD) with financial support to engage the professional services which will assist them in performing with a high degree of success and distinction.
