Vanguard Wrestling

The Vanguard University Wrestling team was relaunched by Caleb Flores in 2019. The Lions compete as an associate member of the Cascade Collegiate Conference – one of the premiere conferences in the nation. In its history, the “ matmen" were a force in the wrestling world, winning the NAIA District III Championships from 1973-1975 including an undefeated season. Also in 2023, Gerardo Hernandez wins an NAIA National Championship!
