Project GLAD is a model for sheltered instruction in the area of language acquisition and literacy.


Credits: 2 Credit


Class Description:
During this workshop, teachers will be introduced to the instructional strategies, the theory and research that support the model, and the curriculum model that brings these all together in the context of district and state frameworks and standards.


Participants will be required to:
Plan instruction and teach lessons based upon the GLAD model with a written reflection on one of the lessons.
Keep a reflective journal based upon workshop activities.
Attend and participate in whole group professional development with GLAD trainers.
