Intergenerational Trauma training for professionals will be a detailed training including patterns, prevalence, and impact of intergenerational trauma on children and families involved in child welfare. Strategies will be provided for creating safety and engagement in serving families including the core components of trauma informed care. Group discussion, video, handout and group exercises will be utilized.

Participants will learn: 1) Prevalence of Intergenerational Trauma 2) The impact of trauma on adult functioning and parenting 3) Behaviors you may see in working with traumatized parents 4) How to engage and connect with parents who have caused or contributed to the harm their child(ren) have experienced
