Beta Alpha Psi Candidate Fee

Beta Alpha Psi Candidate Agreement: I am pledging to become a candidate for membership in the Washburn University Mu Omicron Beta Alpha Psi chapter. I understand the following requirements for pledging to become a candidate: 1. Declaration or intention of declaration of a major in finance, accounting, data analytics, or information services. 2. Junior-standing by end of the spring semester (minimum of 54 hours of college credit). 3. Minimum of 3.0 overall cumulative GPA at the end of the Fall 2023 semester or have at least a 3.25 grade point average on the last 30 hours of college credit. 4. Enroll in at least one upper level business course (any of the 300 or 400 level business, economics, or accounting courses meets this requirement); candidate must have passed the course or be passing the course at the time of initiation. 5. Complete one hour of volunteer work in a Beta Alpha Psi approved philanthropic event. 6. Attend at least half of the scheduled chapter meetings. 7. Pay the one-time $25.00 candidate fee to the Beta Alpha Psi International Headquarters. This fee is non-refundable. There are no other membership fees for candidates in the 2023-2024 school year. Additionally, once a student has been initiated as a member, there is no recurring annual fee.
