Sometimes we take it for granted that students know how to study. Study skills are a skill set that many of our special education students need to improve. With more and more focus on national standards and testing, how can we assist these students to meet the more rigorous requirements? This course will allow educators to build skills and instructional strategies for improving students ability to listen, note-taking, textbook reading, test taking strategies, and paper/essay writing. This course will also introduce strategies for teaching students anxiety and stress reduction techniques. This class is appropriate for all K-12 general and special education teachers.
