Concept Progressions Series-Measurement and Data - December 3, 2026, Pearl, MS

Understanding how to collect accurate measurements and apply those values to in real-world contexts in a essential skill for all students. These values also contribute to the breadth of data that we encounter in a variety of situations. During this session, participants will explore how students' engagement with measurement and data collection processes becomes more sophisticated over time. Teachers will understand the importance of data literacy and how early elementary experiences prepare students to interpret data sets in the upper grades.
