ACE Personal Trainer Prep Course

Online, self-guided study course with weekly practical skills meetings
Course Fee: $50
Description: Open to UM students enrolled in fall 2023 courses. The objective of this course is to prepare prep course students in attaining the base knowledge needed to begin a part-time career in personal training. This course should prepare individuals with the basic knowledge in human anatomy, kinesiology, exercise physiology, nutrition and the ability to apply these in order to deliver quality health and fitness programs for clients. Students interested can receive assistance with registering for the ACE certification exam, get information about working for Campus Recreation during the next hiring session and in-person mock client audition opportunities.
