Spend a relaxing day hanging out at the beach on Sardis Lake. Join us as we take our fleet of paddleboards out to the lake to enjoy some sand, sun, and fun with great people. Don’t worry if you have never been on a stand up paddleboard before, this trip is beginner friendly and our trip leaders will help you find your balance.

Black Creek is one of OMOD’s favorite locations to go canoeing in Mississippi. Located near Hattiesburg, this river should provide a good current and beautiful scenery. Learn the basics of water safety and pick up a few new paddle strokes this weekend while we enjoy a fun overnight camping experience.

This clinic is appropriate for beginner and intermediate rock climbers. Our instructors will review several techniques to improve your climbing ability. We will go over specific movements and different exercises that will have you climbing with confidence and climbing harder routes.

Namaste meets nature. Explore the rustic beauty of nearby Puskus Lake and take an easy hike on the 1.5 mile interpretive trail. Learn mindfullness and stress-reducing techniques from our Wellness Education experts along the way; we will conclude our walk by practicing Yoga on the dock and focusing on awareness and being in the present moment.

Join Ole Miss Outdoors for a Rustic Rebel Roadtrip - enjoy a weekend of football and hiking as we travel to Columbia to see the Rebs take on the Mizzou Tigers. We will check out the University of Missouri campus, catch the game, camp, and hike the nearby trails (the exact schedule will depend on the game time which is still TBA). Transportation, game ticket, camping fees, and camping equipment are provided.

Take a bike ride with Ole Miss Outdoors! We are heading to the Tanglefoot Trail to enjoy some scenic riding. You may use one of our bikes or bring your own, and we will stop for lunch in one of the towns along the trail.

Join us at dusk for our annual glow run on the trail, and choose between the Monster Mile (fun run, kid friendly) or Frightful 5K (where scarers will be waiting along the way to put a little more getup in your step). We will have face painting, glow bracelets, and fun awards for best costume and fastest times. See you there, if you dare! *Please complete one registration for each participant.
Backpacking Talladega National Forest
Backpacking Talladega National Forest October 25-27

We will be trekking the Pinhoti Loop in the Talladega National Forest, as this 17 mile trail has a variety of breathtaking views to explore, and the timing is perfect for seasonal leaf color. This is an intermediate hike requiring a moderate level of physical fitness and appropriate apparel and footwear. Small group training is available for participants to become better conditioned for hiking.

Ole Miss Outdoors is hosting our inaugural bouldering competition, open to climbers of all abilities. Compete in a fun and friendly atmosphere and challenge yourself on various boulder problems set up on our brand new 70 linear-foot bouldering wall. Register prior to October 24th and you will receive a shirt with your entry fee.
