Program Details

Objectives: Practice Linux and MS SQL server logging research and basic forensics, gain hands-on experience with FTP server and Linux log management tools, gain hands-on experience with data leakage event.

A vulnerability in Pro FTP is used to gain root permissions on the server. The attacker uses the FTP server to move laterally through the network until a SQL server is discovered, ultimately leading to a data breach.
