Licensed Child Placing Administrator's (LCPA) Exam

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) has contracted with the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) to develop the exams for both the Child Care Administrator License and the Child Placing Agency Administrator License. The exams are given via a secure website managed by UTA. There is a non-refundable exam fee paid to the UTA School of Social Work's LCCA/LCPA Project Team each time you register for an exam. You will not be permitted to take the exam without prior payment of this nonrefundable fee.

Exams are given in a proctored setting at designated testing centers located in Arlington, Austin, Houston and San Antonio. An additional proctoring fee (amount varies by location) will be required by the selected testing center.

In the event of a no-show or request to reschedule or transfer, you will forfeit the original fee(s) and be required to submit a new registration and fee(s).
