Symposium Registration

Overview

The University of Kansas Cancer Center, Early Phase Program continues to partner with the industry to have this symposium intended to provide a unique way of exchanging scientific ideas and discuss opportunities to translate basic science discoveries into bedside care. This meeting is designed to build bridges for innovation between laboratory and clinical researchers in academia and key leaders in the industry.  Invited speakers are leading cancer investigators: basic scientists to physician scientists from the University of Kansas Cancer Center and innovators in industry in drug development, genetics, diagnostics, and imaging. The meeting will include keynote presentation by a highly distinguished opinion leader in biomarker development.

Objectives

  1. Identify opportunities for collaboration between leaders in academic and industry in accelerating anticancer drug development using immunotherapy, antibodies and personalized oncology in different solid and hematologic malignancies
  2. Discuss ongoing efforts to identify molecular signatures that could be used as biomarkers in immunotherapy to personalize cancer treatment
  3. Define mechanisms of drug resistance and investigation on combination therapies to overcome these challenges
  4. Discuss emerging development in precision medicine
