Northmark, Laser Cut Maps and Products

These laser cut maps turn the layouts for cities into layered, 3D art pieces. Each map is made to order, with each produced specifically for the location you choose rather from pre-made designs, and then carefully prepared, cut, and assembled. 

The map is constructed from 4 individual layers, with each layer representing a different geographical feature. This helps create depth and make the street network and landscape easy to see. The bottom layer represents water features such as rivers, lakes, and coastlines, in a cobalt blue shade, which helps with contrast from other layers. The second layer is engraved with smaller and non-major streets, helping the design stay clean and uncluttered. The third layer highlights major roads and highways, being cut out of wood, allowing lower layers to be seen through and creating a strong contrast. Each model is designed with a built-in frame, with the top layer holding the name of the location and any optional engravings or text. Each model is a total thickness of 12mm (.47 inches) and 12”x12” unless a custom size is requested at an additional fee. Each map is crafted with natural high-quality basswood, offering exceptional durability and strength. * 

Customers can choose from pre-designed city maps or order a custom map of a specific location. For custom orders, contact us through our website map designer or by email to mockup designs and requests. 

We can accommodate most reasonable requests. However, some will require an additional fee. The map includes a built-in frame, and mounting equipment is not included, allowing you to choose the best display method. Additionally, some roads and features may be missing from models, and very small streets or minor geographic features may be simplified or omitted.
