Crafting with Clay: Pottery Wheel Throwing for Beginners

Join us to learn the basics of wheel throwing in the supportive community of DAAP! This beginner-friendly workshop will guide you through centering, shaping, and creating your first pottery pieces. By the end of the session, you'll leave with your own handcrafted pottery and a new appreciation for the art of clay! All materials are provided, and no prior experience is required—just bring your enthusiasm and curiosity!

What's included?

• Access to the DAAP Ceramics lab during open lab hours throughout the duration of the workshop.
• All materials required for the workshop including tools, clay, glaze & firing

What should I bring?

• an apron and hand towel (be prepared, art is a messy business!)

*To receive a refund you must notify jessie.rienerth@uc.edu at least 1 week prior to class.  There will be no refunds for cancellations after that time or no-shows.  If the class does not reach required minimums for participation all registered users will be fully refunded.
