COURSE CREDIT:

3 Credit Hours – SPTE 570: The Business of Korean Baseball

Step into South Korea’s dynamic baseball culture through this international experience. Explore how one of the world’s most passionate professional baseball industries blends fan engagement, venue operations, and the global sport business—while gaining firsthand insight into the game beyond the classroom.

Highlights:

• Visits to Professional KBO Games
• Visit to Bukchon Hanok Village
• Visit to Gyeongbokgung Palace
• Business Visits to Expo Science Park, the National Science Museum, and the Starfield Library at COEX Mall
• Visit to Sung Sim Dang

Program Fees Do Not Include:

• Airfare to/from South Korea
• Tuition for SPTE 570: The Business of Korean Baseball
• USC global health insurance (~ $40)
• USC Education Abroad application fee (~ $225)
• Meals, site visits, and excursions not listed on final itinerary
• Passports, required vaccinations, and required medical treatment/testing/documentation
• Personal expenses and shopping

Price per student is $4,750.00 + tuition (separate) for SPTE 570: The Business of Korean Baseball, USC global health insurance, and Education Abroad fee. Program fees are non-refundable. If the program is cancelled by USC prior to departure, recoverable costs will be refunded.

This trip is limited to 20 participants and is expected to be filled quickly; reserve your space by submitting your first payment soon.

Reserve your space by 01/08/2027. Please complete your application with the Education Abroad Office prior to 03/01/2027. You must register and pay for SPTE 570: The Business of Korean Baseball no later than 04/15/2027.

Payment Deadlines:

1st Program Fee payment of $2,375.00 — due by 01/08/2027

2nd Program Fee payment of $2,375.00 — due by 02/15/2027
