Fundamentals of Supervision and Management--Red Dot

Beginning Fall 2025, USC Upstate will collaborate with Nepal-based technology professionals to build their knowledge and skills in several key aspects of business excellence. Faculty within the University’s Johnson College of Business intentionally selected courses that offer high-impact lessons and teach practical tactics for mastering industry trends. All courses are presented online with faculty guidance to allow students to combine the benefits of learning with the flexibility of online learning. After completing the below series of courses, learners will be prepared to take the next step in their careers and to help their company advance as a technology leader.  

Introduction to Business Analytics

Project Management Fundamentals

In this course, an experienced Project Management Professional will help you master the essentials of project management. You will become an indispensable member of your project team by discovering and mastering the critical concepts you need to plan, implement, control and close any type of project.

Fundamentals of Supervision and Management

If you have recently been promoted to a supervisory or management position or want to learn how to become a more effective manager, this course will help you master the basics of business by learning the language of management. You will learn how to make a successful transition from employee to manager and you will learn how to manage your time so that you can deal with the constant demands of a managerial job.

Six Sigma: Total Quality Applications

Determine the relationship of basic statistics to Six Sigma and learn about the Six Sigma business case, including strategic planning, the voice of the customer (VOC), quality function deployment (QFD), benchmarking, and financial investment methods. In this course, you will learn more than 25 tools and methods relate to the DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve, and control) model.
