V̇O2max

V̇O2max testing offered by the Community Health and Performance Assessment Program within the Department of Human Performance and Health at USC Upstate. This test utilizes indirect calorimetry to determine the maximal amount of oxygen you are able to utilize during exercise. This test can be performed on the treadmill or cycle ergometer. Clients will receive a pre-participation health screening, pre-testing instructions, and an interpretation packet detailing the results of their selected testing. Results will also include heart rate based training zones. This service is overseen by PhD exercise physiologists and student mentees using research grade laboratory equipment in the Exercise and Sport Science Lab and can be used to establish health and performance goals, optimize training, and track progress. This testing takes ~60 minutes. This testing is in no way intended to be a medical diagnosis.
