Visit iconic sites and learn from sustainability and innovation retail and design experts in Copenhagen, Denmark.

  • Two Upcycling Workshops, including one at Soriano Nørrebro
  • Guest lectures will be provided by experts in the field of innovation and sustainability Topics include:
    • Trend Forecasting, Scandinavian Academy of Fashion Design
    • Danish versus US Culture, Retail, Art, and Fashion
    • Why Music Festivals Should Engage in the Green Transition - Provided at Rockslide Festival
Cultural Activities/Visits
  • Private Walking Tour of the city of Copenhagen
  • Copenhagen Walking Tour, With an Emphasis on Sustainability
  • Guided tour of Copenhagen’s Design Museum
  • Guided tour and exhibition at Nordatlantens Brygge (Art and Culture from Greenland, Iceland, and The Faroe Islands)
Overnight excursion to Holbæk/Roskilde
  • Visit to Amolia in Holbæk (Upcycling textile fashion company)
  • Guided Private Walking City tour of Roskilde
  • Guided Private Tour of the Roskilde Cathedral
  • Private guided Tour of Ragnarock, which is a museum connected to the Roskilde festival.
    • Roundtrip Transportation
    • Two (2) Lunch meals
    • One (1) Group Dinner meal

Program Fees Include:
Bus Group Airport Transfer upon arrival and departure
Hotel (nine nights, multiple occupancy)
Breakfast daily at local cafe
Ten-day Public Transportation Pass (metro, bus, train) for students and faculty
Welcome Dinner, Group Lunch and Farewell Dinner
Entrance to all venues and tours listed on final itinerary.

Transportation and airfare to / from Copenhagen, Denmark
Tuition for RETL 592
USC global health insurance ($36)
Trip Interruption insurance (recommended)
USC Education Abroad application fee ($150)
Meals, site visits and excursions not listed on final itinerary.
Passports, any required medical treatment/testing/documentation
Personal expenses and shopping

Price per student is $3,695 + tuition (separate) for RETL 592, and USC global health insurance and Education Abroad fee. Program fees are non-refundable. If the program is cancelled by USC prior to departure, recoverable costs will be refunded.

This trip is limited to 15 participants and is expected to be filled quickly; reserve your space by submitting your first payment soon.

Reserve your space by December 1st. Please complete your application with the Education Abroad Office prior to January 20th. You must register and pay tuition for RETL 592 no later than May 1st, 2025.  

Payment Deadlines:
1st Program Fee payment of $1,940.50 — due by December 1st, 2024
2nd Program Fee payment of $1,940.50 — due by Jan. 17th, 2025
Program fees are not refundable.
