Professional Golf & Tennis Tournament Management 2025 – SPTE 590

Learn about Professional Golf and Tennis Tournament Management along the South Carolina and Florida coasts!

Highlights:
  • Learn about tennis tournament operations and sponsorship at Credit One Charleston Open.
  • Visit TPC Sawgrass, home of the PLAYERS Championship and speak with PGA Tour staff.
  • Experience Kiawah Island and visit the Ocean Course, past host course of the PGA Championship.
  • Walking tours of historic Charleston. Beach time on Jacksonville Beach.
  • Networking event with Charleston alumni and cultural excursions in both cities.
  • Learn about unique fan experience and attend a Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp baseball game.
*Please note that events listed here and on the final itinerary are subject to change.

Program Fees Include:
  • Hotel (Five nights - Two nights in Charleston, Three nights in Jacksonville).
  • Van transportation from Columbia to destination cities as well as local transportation.
  • Some meals (including a Charleston SPTE alumni dinner).
  • Entrance tickets to events and tours listed on final itinerary.

Program Fees Do Not Include: Summer Tuition for SPTE 590, and personal expenses (e.g., food, shopping, healthcare, etc.).

Price per student is $900.00 + tuition (separate) for SPTE 590. Program fees are non-refundable. Student travel grants may be available to help cover some of the cost of this experience. If the program is cancelled by USC prior to departure, recoverable costs will be refunded.

This trip is limited to 12 participants.

Summer tuition is due closer to late April/ Early May according to the Bursar’s deadlines.

Payment Deadlines:
1st Program Fee payment of $450 — due by Nov. 16, 2024. (Note: The trip may be full before this deadline).
2nd Program Fee payment of $450— due by Feb. 1, 2025.
Program fees are not refundable.
