The $500 deposit is non-refundable, unless the university cancels the trip or participant is denied admission. However, if the university is forced to cancel a program due to safety and health concerns, acts of nature, acts of terrorism, or circumstances beyond its control, participants will only be refunded the full amount of recoverable costs.

UPDATE 02/13/2025: Students will now have the option to purchase their own flights as part of the program or have the university make their arrangements with the group. To have the university make your arrangements, please select the product listed as *University Arranged Flight*. If you wish to make your own flight arrangements, please select the appropriate product labeled *Independent Travel*. Questions about which is appropriate for you may be directed to studyabroad@uscupstate.edu

If participants decide to withdraw from the program for any reason, they are required to send a written request to studyabroad@uscupstate.edu as soon as such a decision is made. Requests to withdraw from the program should be submitted in writing and through participants email address; withdrawl requests received by phone or from someone other than the program participant, are not acceptable. The written request should include participants complete legal name and student identification number.

Possible refund amount will be determined based on these factors: (1) date when the written withdraw request was received by the Center for International Studies at USC Upstate, (2) whether the university has already paid for the group airfare - tickets are non refundable and non-transferable, (3) whether contracted vendors and service providers agree to issue any refund to the university for contracted goods and services associated with this program.

No refund will be issued, for any reason, on or after the program departure date.
No reduction or refund will be issued, for any reason, for services not used by the participant.
No substitution will be allowed for services not used; services cannot be transferred to another person.
