Coding 4 Kids – Ocean Science Exploration and Gaming July 15-19, 2024 • 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Drop off 8 - 8:30 a.m., Pick-up 3-3:30 p.m. (After Care Available until 5:30-Registration/Fee Required) Rising 3rd - 5th Base Price $235 (You Pay Only $195) $40 SRNS scholarship applied to ALL registrations. In this 2 part camp students will interact with VEX Robotics for half of the day and then use our computer lab to design video games in Roblox Studio and Make Code Arcade. Student will learn to collaborate with teammates and design innovative solutions to global problems, all while using the VEX Robotics GO System. Learn to program your robots to complete several rover missions throughout this week of camp. Modeled after the 2016 MBARI Research Mission, campers will combine coding, construction, and robotics as they work through the engineering design process to develop unique and inventive solutions. The robot in the Ocean Exploration is modeled to be assisting the rover with some of its tasks, like collecting samples, moving sensors, and fixing underwater pipelines. Students who attend should demonstrate skills in math and science, with an additional interest in STEM and computers. The camp is made possible with support from SRNS.
