SPTE 635 Sport Event Development

Learn Golf and Tennis Tournament Events along the SC coast!

May 6-11, 2024

Tour Cost: $850 plus 3 credits Summer tuition and applicable fees

*Highlights:
• Learn about tennis tournament operations and sponsorship at Credit One Charleston Open
• Attend the New Myrtle Beach Classic PGA tour golf tournement and meet their executive team 
• Experience Kiawah Island and visit the Ocean Course, past host course of the PGA Championship
• Walking tours of historic Charleston and beach time on Myrtle Beach
• Networking event with Charleston alumni
• Learn about creating unique fan experience and attend the Myrtle Beach Pelicans baseball game. (if available)

Program Fees Include:
• Hotel (five nights -2 nights Charleston, 3 nights Myrtle Beach oceanfront)
• Transportation from Columbia to destination cities as well as local transporation
• Some meals (including Charleston SPTE Alumni Dinner)
• Entrance tickets to events and tours listed on final itinerary, including 2 days grounds pass for MB Classic

Program Fees Do Not Include:
• Summer Tuition for SPTE 635 (May 2024 term)

Price per student is $850 + summer tuition for SPTE 635 (3 credits).

Program fees are non-refundable. If the program is cancelled by UofSC prior to departure, recoverable costs will be refunded.

This trip is limited to 12 participants and is expected to fill quickly.

Payment Deadlines:

1st Program Fee payment of $425 — due by Nov. 10, 2023

2nd Program Fee payment of $425— due by Feb. 2, 2024

Unless the program is cancelled by the university, program fees are non-refundable.
