UA Graphathon 23

The Underground Academy Graphathon brings together data analysts, law enforcement professionals, human rights advocates, students and survivors to make the internet unsafe for anyone profiting from human trafficking. Participants will utilize innovative graph database technology to automate web scraping, network identification and data visualization. Teams of volunteers will scour the web to identify human trafficking suspects and provide leads to participating law enforcement agencies. Come learn about human trafficking from a variety of experts and get hands-on experience in the world of open-source investigations!

This live, 2-day event in Greenville, SC is open to adults 18+ and involves the use of OSINT (open-source intelligence) tools to track down leads on trafficking victims. Opening reception is Sunday evening, 08 October with work in teams following on Monday and Tuesday, 09 and 10 October.

The event is sponsored by the Upstate Crime Analysis Center (UCAC) at USC Upstate Greenville, DataWalk, and Switch. Registration is $40 and all post-event proceeds will be donated to Switch's work fighting trafficking in Upstate SC.
