SPTE 570: Sport and Entertainment in Scotland, Ireland and England 2023

Tour Dates: March 3 - 12, 2023

Tour Cost: $3,700 plus round-trip airfare, $150 education abroad program application fee, $30 UofSC global health insurance, tuition and applicable fees

Join Dr. Andy Gillentine and Dr. Bill Sutton for a tour through famous sport, entertainment, historic and cultural sites in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, and Dublin.

HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:
Meetings with top sport officials in each country
Tour of St. Andrews, the birthplace of golf
City tours in each stop
Professional sport matches in each city (as available)
o Rugby
o Cricket
o Hurling
o Gaelic Football
o Soccer
• Manchester City Stadium and Academy

• Meetings with Gaelic Athletic Association President
• Numerous cultural and historic sites
• A complete academic program of lectures from European experts and sport, entertainment, and cultural facility tours

Trip Fees Include:

UofSC global health insurance
Education Abroad fees
Personal shopping experiences
Meals and events not listed on final itinerary
Passports, required vaccinations, and required medical treatment/testing/documentation

Student Fees: $3,700 + tuition for SPTE 570, round-trip airfare, UofSC global health insurance and Education Abroad fee.

Please complete your application with the Education Abroad Office no later than Dec. 1, 2022.
Please request approval from Dr. Gillentine at agillentine@sc.edu prior to completing an application.

Trip fees are non-refundable unless the program is cancelled by UofSC prior to start date.

This trip is limited to 20 participants and is expected to fill quickly; reserve your space by submitting your first payment soon.

You must register and pay for SPTE 570 –The European Sport Model later than Jan 8, 2023.

Payment Deadlines:

• 1st payment of $1,850 — due by Nov. 1, 2022*** This date is flexible as long as full payment is made by date below:
• 2nd payment of $1,850 or full payment of $3700— due by Nov. 23, 2022
