Spartan Rec Center Membership Rates

Faculty, staff, alumni and spouses and parents of students and guests may join the Spartan Rec Center.

Membership category overview

Faculty/Staff (yearly admin fee): This membership is for current and retired full or part time faculty and staff members working at the University of South Carolina Upstate. A current faculty/staff ID card is required.

F/S w Dependent: This membership is reserved for a spouse or dependent of a current or retired full or part-time faculty or staff member of the University of South Carolina Upstate. Dependent status is defined by Human Resources policy. Child dependents range up to age 25. Faculty/Staff admin fee must be paid also if not already.

Alumni: This membership is reserved for alumni who have received their degree from the University of South Carolina Upstate. Alumni who matriculated from USC Upstate receive their first year of membership free from the initial date of joining.

Alumni w Dependent: This membership is reserved for a spouse or dependent of alumni who have received their degree from the University of South Carolina Upstate. Dependent status is defined by Human Resources policy. Child dependents range up to age 25.

Seniors: This membership is reserved for those seniors according USC Upstate Admissions who are eligible to enroll in classes at the university at no charge. The age requirement is 60 years and older. Additional restriction include that this population must not be employed full time in any capacity. Restricted use: 6:30 AM - 3 PM and weekends.

Spouse of Student: This membership is reserved for the married partner of a currently enrolled student of the University of South Carolina Upstate.

Parent of Student: This membership is reserved for the legal parents of a currently enrolled student at the University of South Carolina Upstate. This membership is only applicable while the student is enrolled at USC Upstate. Persons wanting to utilize this membership must provide evidence of their son or daughter’s student status.

Sponsored Membership: This membership is reserved for an unaffiliated roommate, partner, friend, etc of a current Wellness Center member. A current Wellness Center member may only sponsor one person in this category.

Family Membership: This membership is reserved for the family of a faculty of staff member of the University of South Carolina Upstate and included the whole family as determined by Human Resources policy. Child dependents range up to age 25. Faculty/Staff admin fee must be paid also if not already.

Spartanburg Community College Faculty/Staff Membership: This membership is reserved for faculty and staff of Spartanburg Community College.
