The Student Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (SVECCS) works to promote the education and involvement of veterinary students in all aspects of emergency and critical care medicine. We are a registered chapter with NSVECCS the student organization for VECCS and as a result all of our members have access to NSVECCS and VECCS events, in addition to chapter events. On campus we sponsor clinical case presentations by interns, residents and faculty who speak on a wide array of topics valuable to students interested in any specialty. Our most sought-after events are wet labs that teach fundamental technical skills needed by ALL veterinarians, such as performing a gastropexy, enucleation, and CPR simulations. 1 year membership dues
