Evidence Based Veterinary Acupuncture Equine Course Session 1

Evidence Based Veterinary Acupuncture Equine Course Session 1

Evidence-Based Veterinary Acupuncture (Equine) Certification Course
The Basic Certification (cEBVAEQ) will be awarded upon successful completion of two sessions of combined online and in-person coursework, totaling 80 hours. Each session includes approximately 25 hours of online material, followed by an in-person laboratory and individual evaluation session.  The in-person portion of the course will be session one, 24 hours over three days, and session 2, 18 hours over two days.
Between each in-person session, students must treat cases and submit three sets of case reports and presentations. Session 1 will run June 6-8 2025. All course materials and in-person sessions must be completed within four years of starting the program.

Certification Maintenance
To maintain certification, participants must complete at least 100 hours of RACE-approved acupuncture continuing education every 10 years.

Post-Certification Opportunities
Upon achieving certification, graduates will be eligible to participate in elective courses. Graduates choosing to enroll in their second species (Acu-Equus certification or EBVAsa)  will receive a 15% discount.  After completing both courses, graduates will be awarded the non-restricted (cEBVA).
Graduates of other certification programs may take the online program beginning with level 1 without requiring in-person, as long as they do not want additional certification.
