PARENT TRAINING INSTITUTE
Presented by the SCSU Center of Excellence for Teaching and Learning


Purpose: The Parent Training institute will offer monthly virtual training sessions, and helpful resources on a range of topics that can help parents support their child's academic, social, and emotional development.

Who: Open to parents of children of all ages.

Where: All parent workshops will be held virtually.

How: Our online workshops will be recorded for use by registered attendees, including those who are unable to attend live.

When: Starts September 26, 2023, Monthly Tuesdays between 7.00pm to 8.30pm.

Certificate: Every registered attendee will receive a “Certificate of Completion.”

Cost: $100 includes full access to 10 live and recorded workshop sesssions. Registrations are accepted at any time during the series. You'll receive access to the recordings for any live sessions that you're unable to attend. 

Note: Please be aware that a fee waiver option is also in place for parents who may require financial assistance. We understand the importance of making this opportunity accessible to all, and we encourage those facing financial constraints to reach out and inquire about the fee waiver option. January 30 @7pm - Protecting Your Child from Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying

February 27 @7pm - Utilizing English Second Language Learner, Special Education, and Student Services

March 26 @7pm - Supporting Your Children’s Executive Functioning, 21. Century and Soft Skills

April 23 @7pm - The Roles of Parents to Plan Effective Summer Programs for Children and Youths

May 28 26 @7pm - Raising Socially, Mentally and Emotionally Strong Children

June 11 @7pm - Dealing with Drug Internet Addiction, and Cyberbullying

Cancellation Policy: 

  • To receive a full refund (100%) of the program fees, parents must request cancellation in writing by September 24, 2023 (two business days prior to the first class day of the program). 
  • No refunds will be issued after September 24, 2023.
