Basic Caregiver Skills
This course is designed for individuals who want to learn practical skills and helpful strategies for caring for loved ones who may require assistance with daily living. Led by Myra Stumpe, CNA, the class provides a supportive learning environment focused on real-life caregiving situations.
Participants will explore foundational caregiving techniques that help promote safety, comfort, and dignity for those receiving care. Topics will include assisting with daily routines, understanding safety concerns in the home, effective communication, and providing supportive care for individuals who may have limited mobility or independence.
This course is intended for personal knowledge and family caregiving situations. It is not a medical certification and does not qualify participants for clinical practice or professional medical employment.
Through guided instruction, discussion, and practical examples, participants will gain greater confidence and understanding of how to care for loved ones safely and responsibly.
