Course Description
This comprehensive course is designed for youth ages 12–17 and follows the American Red Cross babysitting curriculum. Participants will gain essential skills needed to become responsible and confident babysitters while also earning a CPR certification through the American Heart Association upon completion.

Students will learn how to care for infants and children in a safe and responsible manner through interactive instruction, hands-on practice, and real-life scenario simulations. The course emphasizes safety, preparedness, and confidence when working with children in a variety of situations.

Training includes the use of dolls, role play, and guided simulations to reinforce practical childcare skills in a structured learning environment. Some assignments, activities, and course materials may require access to a device and the internet. Students who have access to a laptop, iPad, smartphone, or other secondary device are encouraged to bring it to class when appropriate.
