Participants will review core functions of Microsoft Word and Excel while learning helpful tips, shortcuts, and productivity tools that can make everyday tasks faster and more professional.
During this interactive session, participants will review and practice:
Creating, editing, and formatting documents
Adjusting margins, spacing, and layout
Using fonts, styles, and formatting tools effectively
Inserting and formatting tables
Utilizing basic page setup features
Saving and organizing documents properly
Understanding basic spreadsheet layout
Entering and organizing data
Formatting cells and worksheets
Using simple formulas (SUM, AVERAGE, etc.)
Sorting and filtering data
Creating basic charts and visual representations

Because this course is offered through a college program, all participants are registered through Odessa College’s student system.
To complete registration, each participant must fully complete the registration process. This includes:
First Name
Last Name
Date of Birth
Social Security Number (SS#)
If you have an Odessa College ID number, you may use that in lieu of your Social Security Number. However, one of the two is required for enrollment.
Higher education institutions are required to collect a SS# or TIN in order to register individuals for courses. Although this class is designed for the community, you are officially enrolled through a college system.
