Archery Summer Sports Camp

Description: Have fun learning the basics of archery so you can hit the bull’s-eye every time! Campers will participate in target practice using compound and long bows, learn the history of archery and make their own decorative arrow they can take home!

Daily Activity: Camp begins with learning safety instructions, the parts of bows and arrows and the proper stance for shooting an arrow. Every day of camp includes target practice through a variety of games and activities such as "tic tac tow," water balloon targets, "beat the instructor "and "fruit salad" where the campers use fruit as fun targets. Campers also spend time learning the history of archery and making their own decorative arrows to take home. A snack break is given midway through each camp day. Snacks and water are provided.

Time: 8:00AM - 11:00 AM

Monday thru Thursday

Session1: June 24th-27th

Session2: July 8th-11th


Cost: $99.00 per session per child

Minimum-9/Maximum-20

Parent Information Packet:
* All parents and guardians will receive a parent information packet via email when registering for the 2024 Odessa College Summer Camps! These packets must be completed and returned before the 1st day of camp.

* INSTRUCTIONS FOR PARENTS: It is recommended all campers bring a hat, suncreeen and a bottle of water. Campers will be dropped off and picked up from the Main Entrance of the OC Softball & Tennis Complex.

*Early registration ends the Monday prior to each sports center camp date!
*Late registration will have an additional $15 added to total per registration.

Refunds:
*100% refund if done up to 3 BUSINESS DAYS prior to camp start date. Any exceptions to this rule will be decided by the Community Recreation Director.
