Conversational Spanish

Description: Learn how to engage in conversational Spanish through music, storytelling, and arts and crafts such as pinatas, maracas, sombreros and floresitas! Each session will cover a different vocabulary topic and any associated words.

Location: OC Sports Center

Age Range: Ages 7 - 12

TIme: 1:00pm-4:00pm

Session 1-June 3rd-6th Monday-Thursday 

Session 2-June 17th-20th

Cost: $99.00 per sessoin per child

Minimum-8/Maximum-20

DAILY ACTIVITY: During camp, campers will participate in a variety of activities such as signing, workbooks, and games to learn Spanish language vocabulary words. The vocabulary list will focus on clothing and apparels. They will also do hands on creative activities to learn about Mexican heritage by making pinatas, maracas, sombreros, and floresitas that they can take home with them. A snack break will be held midway through each camp day and water breaks will be provided throughout each day. Snacks and water are provided.


INSTRUCTIONS FOR PARENTS: It is recommended all campers bring a bottle of water. Campers will be dropped off and picked up from the Sports Center Main Lobby.

Parent Information Packet:
* All parents and guardians will receive a parent information packet when registering for the 2023 Odessa College Summer Camps! These packets must be completed and returned before the 1st day of camp.


Registration Charges:
* Early Registration ends the Monday prior to each Sports Center Camp Start Date!
* Late Registrations will have an additional $15.00 added to the total per registration.

Refunds:
* 100% refund IF done up to 3 BUSINESS DAYS prior to camp date. Any exceptions to this rule will be decided by the Community Recreation Director for Sports Center camps.
