Hiking at Green Cay Nature Preserve and Wakkodatahatchee Wetlands

Trip Description

Join the NSU Outdoor Recreation team to Green Cay Nature Center and Wakkodatahatchee Wetlands on this day to explore the natural preserves. Boardwalks perfect for animal observation line the properties and have beautiful natural views. Around 2 miles total will be walked during this trip, but the spring month of March provides the perfect opportunity to view the 30 species of native wading bird populations and their young during nesting season. Transportation from campus via Shark Shuttle is included.
 

Itinerary

• 7:30am Meet at Shark Fountain Circle outside of Don Taft University Center
• 8:00am Depart campus via Shark Shuttle
• 9:00am Arrive at Green Cay Nature Center
• 11:00am Depart Green Cay and head to Wakkodatahatchee Wetlands
• 12:30pm Depart Wakkodatahatchee Wetlandsand return to NSU
• 1:30pm Arrive back at campus

Reservation/Payment

This hiking trip and round trip transportation is only $15 for NSU students, faculty and staff.

The Shark Shuttle will leave at 8:00am from the Shark Fountain Circle on main campus.  The Shark Shuttle will return to campus around 1:30pm.

Cancelation Policy

You may cancel and receive a refund prior to Friday  at 12:00pm for this trip. If you cancel after that time, you may not recieve a refund if we are unable to fill your spot.  Please contact the Trip Leader to let them know if you have to cancel the morning of the trip. Otherwise contact Tec at tclark@nova.edu to cancel.
