Snorkeling Boat Trip to Pompano Beach "Nursery Reef"

Saturday September 7, 2024

Trip Description

Join  NSU Outdoor Recreation for an awesome trip snorkeling on a snorkeling boat charter off of Pompano Beach.  The trip is to the "Nursery" dive site siting in 15-30 feet of water.  This site is named the "Nursery" after the family of nurse sharks that reside here. There is good habitat here, with large under cut ledges. The sharks are used to divers and snorkelers and usually swim around under the boat. Hundreds of other fish surround the snorkelers on the surface.  The "Nursery" has been featured in numerous T.V. shows and magazines.

This trip includes transportation via the Shark Shuttle and all your snorkeling equipment - mask, snorkel and fins and even boat crew tip.  We depart from the Shark Fountain at 6:45am and return to campus around 1:30pm.  The snorkeling boat trip is approximately four hours long.
