Biking Shark Valley in Everglades National Park

Trip Description

Join us for a leisurely bike ride along a 15 mile, out and back paved trail in Everglades National Park. You will see many various species of animals of indigenous to the Florida Everglades including alligators, crocodiles, snakes and birds. A magnificent observation tower marks the halfway point of the trip.  Take a nice break with gorgeous views of the Florida Everglades.  The trip is approximately 2.5 hours of leisurly riding and stopping for photos.  

Rental bikes as well as round trip transportation from campus via Shark Shuttle is included.

Itinerary

• 7:45am Meet at Shark Fountain Circle outside of Don Taft University Center
• 8:00am Depart campus via Shark Shuttle
• 8:45am Arrive at Shark Valley
• 9:00am Bike Ride
• 12:00pm Depart Shark Valley and return to NSU
• 1:00pm Arrive back at campus

Reservation/Payment

This biking trip and round trip transportation is only $20 for NSU students, faculty and staff.

The Shark Shuttle will leave at 8:00am from the Shark Fountain Circle on main campus.  The Shark Shuttle will return to campus around 1:00pm.

Equipment

You will be issued a bicycle and helmet.

Cancelation Policy

You may cancel and receive a refund prior to Saturday January 13th at 12:00pm for this trip. If you cancel after that time, you may not recieve a refund if we are unable to fill your spot.  Please contact the Trip Leader to let them know if you have to cancel the morning of the trip. Otherwise contact Tec at tclark@nova.edu to cancel.
