Build a Solar Car-Junior Solar Sprint (Thursday):3rd-5th Grade

Attention tinkerers, builders, and future engineers!  Are you ready for a real-life challenge?  Use scientific know-how, creative thinking, experimentation, and teamwork to design, build, and race your own model solar car powered by the sun’s energy!  During the building and testing process, you will learn about physics concepts like friction, gear ratios, and inertia.  While we supply the solar panel, motor, and other possible materials, the rest is up to your imagination and ingenuity! 
*Only open to students who participated in the previous two cycles. Class meets 2 days a week.
