MATE Underwater Robotics: 4-5th Grade: 3 Cycles Monday & Friday

MATE Underwater Robotics: 4-5th Grade: 3 Cycles Monday & Friday

Are you ready to take your Robotics and Engineering skills to the next level? In this activity you and your teammates will design and build an underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV), then learn to pilot your ROV to accomplish real life challenges. To be successful, you will have to understand how to wire your ROV, understand buoyancy, and attack the marine challenges strategically. Teams will learn how ROVs can make a positive impact while combatting current issues facing the health of our oceans. Teams will then have the opportunity to compete in the annual MATE ROV robotics competition in April/May (https://www.marinetech.org/). Please be aware that additional meetings may be added as necessary as the season progresses. Parents will be responsible to transport students to and from the local MATE competition.
**Participants  must commit to all 3 Cycles. Payment due at the beginning of each new cycle.
